Space Program Application

The GIZ SPACE program aims to empower youth across Lebanon with the skills and knowledge needed to design and implement a community project with a social or environmental impact. To be eligible for the program, you must be between the ages of 15 – 23; the program is open to Lebanese and refugee youth from across Lebanon. 

Program Information:

Phase One: Design Thinking (8 days from Monday to Friday, from 4:00 pm – 6:30 pm)

In this training, you will learn how to identify a social or environmental issue in your

community, and design a project to help solve that issue. 

Phase Two: Project Management (8 days from Monday to Friday, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm)

In this training, you will develop the skills needed to properly and effectively plan and implement your project.

Upon completion of the training, you will have the opportunity to pitch your community project idea to a panel of judges, for a chance to receive funding to implement your project *(in other words, not all ideas will be selected for funding). 

Note: Even if your project is not selected, you will have the opportunity to join another selected project. This way, you will all receive training in design thinking, project management, and will be a part of implementing a community project.

Phase Three: Implementation: (1 month)

During the implementation phase, your team will have a mentor or coach assigned to help guide and support you throughout the process.

At the end of the year, all projects will be presented to an audience of partners, trainers, local NGOs, municipalities, and community members, showcasing your achievements, impact, challenges, and lessons learned.

All training sessions will be Online via ZOOM meetings, and NAWAYA will cover the cost of your internet data consumption.
