SPACE – Social Participation and Social Engagement by young people is a special initiative part of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) in partnership with GIZ and The Nawaya Network.
SPACE is a youth empowerment programme meant to create young changemakers, giving them the skills and knowledge needed to launch community projects with a social or environmental impact.
Together with GIZ, The Nawaya Network is working to gather around 150 Lebanese, Syrian and Palestinian youth, aged between 15 and 23 years, and engage them in a series of design thinking and project management training sessions across the country.
Training sessions are held online, safe and easy to access for all participants.
Participants will have the opportunity to create innovative projects that aim to create safe and interactive spaces for young people. Among these projects, 25 projects will get the chance to receive funding to bring their projects to life.
