About the Program

SILA is a four-year development program, implemented in partnership with Swisscontact, that aims at strengthening long-term economic resilience and supporting the growth of Lebanon’s construction sector. The program supports micro and small enterprises, professionals, and job seekers through two key pillars:

Technical Training

SILA equips tradespeople and professionals in the construction sector with the skills they need to grow and compete. Training is offered for plumbers, electricians, painters, and other trades, as well as for architects, engineers, and interior designers. These trainings address labor market needs, enhance technical expertise, and give participants an edge in a competitive sector.

Opportunity Pathways

SILA provides tradespeople and professionals in construction with essential skills to expand and compete. Courses target plumbers, electricians, painters, and other trades, as well as architects, engineers, and interior designers. These trainings meet labor demands, strengthen expertise, and give participants an advantage in a demanding sector.

Through its integrated approach, SILA aims to revive and sustain Lebanon’s construction ecosystem, empower MSEs, and equip a new generation of professionals and workers with the skills and opportunities they need to thrive.
