About this Activity

The Business Support Specialists (BSS) activity within the Action for Rural Economic Development (ARED) program, implemented by The Nawaya Network and funded by the European Union, aims to support financially-vulnerable, unemployed youth by upskilling them to increase their chances of finding employment in eight villages in the Northern Bekaa (Arsal, Labweh, Nabi Osmane, AL Ain, Jabbouleh, Fekeha-Jdeideh, Ras Baalbak, Al Qaa).

It includes online soft skills and employability training, individual coaching related to career guidance, followed by a technical course based on the participant’s interest and trainer’s feedback.

The program will last 3 to 5 months, and will entail the following:

  • Daily skills training for a period of one month, 3.5 hours per day
  • One-on-one career guidance and mentorship, 1 hour/week for 5 weeks
  • Technical upskilling course, up to 3 hours/day for 5 weeks

Upon completing the program, you will get the opportunity to be featured on Nawaya’s Business Support Specialists platform, giving you visibility among local, regional, and international employers.
